Yes, I have wondered where gas comes from and watching the video on how the volcano created the gas that was stored inside makes sense. It was cool to see how when the volcano errupts how it creates the lightening. It was really interesting to hear that these volcano erruptions are creating extinction on the marine life. Yet the good news is that is not like the mass extinctions of dinosaurs. Oh and the best part of the video is where the narrator say in a British accent-"Most Spectacular Erruptions".
i have wondered where gas comes from and the eruption was soo sick! I never knew that lightning would for from an eruption, it really did look like fireworks. I actually wondered how volcanoes start getting active and in the article they talked about it. The animals in water die, the organic matter goes into the crust by making a cycle out of it which forms the under water volcano eruptions. Its really cool how they can base the facts of global warming and extinctions in water from just volcano's erupting.
Well I already knew that a lot of our gas comes from fossilized fuel. But I did not know that volcanoes also spit out gas when they erupted. The Video was amazing to watch and to see all the magma coming out. I always wondered if whatever killed the dinosaurs also killed the dinosaurs that lived in the ocean. Now I know it was really a volcanic eruption located underwater that was responsible for killing many of the ocean species that once lived. After such a great catastrophic event like this occurred all the debris floated down to the bottom of the ocean floor and was turned into gas which is now a major role in where we get our gas.
I've always been told that gas comes from "fossil fuel" or dinosaur bones. It seemed odd to me that all this fuel could come from a few scattered bones here and there. The article shed some light on how we have so much of it and how a volcanic eruption caused all of it. I found that the most shocking part about this article was the fact that there have been 5 mass extinctions on Earth! It makes me wonder when the next one is coming...!
Gas is a valuable and limited natural source. It is new to me that errupting volcanoes are sources of gas! It is interesting that only an erruption is causing so many compounds and reactions to occur leading to the forming of gas. These events prove mass-extinction which some of us doubt in our society. This is a good article with a lot of facts that are interesting and answering common questions that everybody once might have wondered about!
I always wondered where gas comes from. I know that gas comes from the ground but it's cool to know that volcano has gas too. The volcano eruption is very interesting. The fire and sparks that it creates is a different type of beautiful. It's crazy what volcanos can do. They kill organisms in the ocean. Volcanos also have created many mass extinctions it scares me to think about when the next one will be.
I have never understood where gas comes from. I didnt understand how it could come from fossilized bones. This article showed me how many cool ways gas is found and made. I didnt know that when volcanoes erupted that gas was made, but i find it sad that it kills marine life. I hope that another large eruption doesnt come and kill more marine life.
that is very cool how gas can be used as a resource. it is also very cool how the volcanoes proceeded the mass extinction in a blink of a geological eye. i love how it created a sort of cycle where the nutrients were given to the organisms, then the decomposed organisms would fall to the sea floor, then starting a volcanic eruption
GLOBAL EXTINCTION: The first 20 seconds of the video seriously shocked me. I had no idea where all of that smoke was coming from, then to find that ALL OF THAT was coming from a volcano fascinated me. The huge clouds of gas that filled the air were intense! It looked like the smoke that came after the bombing of Hiroshima! Also, that little lizard guy was random but so cute ! I always thought gas was pretty much just smog that came from cities, and to be honest I never really thought much about where gas came from. After this video though, I am completely fascinated with it and it's super cool to know that gas can actually erupt out of a volcano, especially since I though only lava came out of a volcano.
