  2. I don't think that I could of made this journey because I would become bored at sea and most likely develop scurvy. THe amount of time that their voyage took was amazing, understanding that these men had never traveled at a distance that far. I think that the raft that Thor used was right compared to what the early settlers of the polynesian islands used to travel there, plus the fact they traveled from a very far place using the trade winds to guide them. The most interesting part of the video in my opinion, was when the crew encounter the Whale Shark. It was great to see the looks on their faces when they encountered this great beast, just the size captured their curiosity. Then the crew decides that they want to capture it even though it brings them no harm. The crew was in such amusement when the whale shark swims under the side of the boat and its head pops out, yet its tail is still visible on the other side of the boat. The reason why I find it to be the most interesting part is because when they crew saw this, it was a creature that they had never seen in their lives and it just proved that there was so much in our oceans that have not been discovered and many more to come.

  3. I could have made this journey because I love adventure and the outdoors. I would have been fascinated by the marine life and eager to discover. Thor did a great job of proving his theory by accomplishing all the things his critics said the ancient people couldn't do. The crew lived well off the abundant supply of fish and made the point that the journey was well possible. I thought that the diving basket was interesting because the crew found a great way to entertain themselves and stay safe. "It was as though one had an aquarium under one's living room floor."

  4. I wish I could say I could make that voyage. I don't think that I could of because I would probably get sick with scurvy, and I am a picky eater so that would hinder my ability to journey. I think that his theory was well proved by the raft that Thor used. It was made to look and sail like the explorers from the Polynesian islands used to travel to get there in the first place. Thor and the other men with him relied on the winds to guide them, and by doing that their voyage was molded after the Polynesian men before them. The most interesting part of the video for me was the diving basket. It was cool to see them have fun with the equipment they had.

  6. I think i could make the trip because i love having adventures. Even though i would be sailing on the sea, just thinking about the new lands or people i will meet is exciting. The only problem for me would be the raft, i know sitting on something as small as a raft would be annoying, but great men like Thor go through with it for great outcomes. A scary moment for Thor from my point of view would be encountering the sharks and other sea animals. The reason its scary is because he was sailing on a raft the whole time and they can attack anytime the sharks want to. He god a great result for his theory because he proved it with the raft. Honestly the whole journey is interesting because it was done on a raft!

  7. I think I can make this trip because I love adventures. I also love seeing new places and new things. I thinks thors theory was proved well with his raft. The most interesting part of the video was everytime they encounter a new animal or sea life. Thor proved his theory with the raft.

  8. I think I could make this trip because I never get sea sick and I love the ocean and would probably be fishing 24/7 on the trip. I think Thor's theory was right on and he was able to prove all the experts wrong with his amazingly built raft. I think the most interesting part of Thor's journey was that he traveled such an incredible distance on only a raft without a motor or propeller to get him there. I also think it was interesting to see how they survived and was able to get drinking water out of the fish by cutting a hole in the side of them.
